The OW! Cavewoman was inspired by the art of Frank Cho. It’s a 1:6 scale statue with three body options: full nude (as in the original work), topless, and bikini.
Cavewoman, created by Budd Root, is an American alternative comic book published between 1993 and 2009 by Basement Comics, Caliber Comics, and Avatar Press. The story follows Meriem Cecilbie Cooper, a 19-year-old from the fictional town of Marshville, Oregon. After her father’s death, her mother became entangled with secret government agents but sought help from Meriem’s inventor grandfather, Gramp. During an escape, Gramp, Meriem, and a giant gorilla named Klyde accidentally traveled 70 million years into the past, launching them into a dangerous prehistoric world filled with dinosaurs and government intrigue.
In this ancient world, Meriem learned to survive after Gramp’s death. She became a fierce warrior, battling dinosaurs, crafting a snakeskin outfit, and even adopting a baby Tyrannosaurus. Her superhuman strength, enhanced durability, and heightened abilities were the result of Gramp’s experiments designed to prepare her for time travel. Later, when Marshville itself was transported to the past, Meriem stepped up as the guide and protector of her community, helping them fend off prehistoric threats and build a safe haven.
Meriem’s enhanced physiology grants her incredible strength, rapid healing, and heightened senses, including psychic abilities that allow her to connect with beings like Klyde and Gramp’s spirit. She’s an expert in combat, mastering knives, spears, and hand-to-hand techniques. Despite the constant dangers, Meriem has become an iconic figure, blending raw power and intelligence in her quest to survive and protect those around her in a savage, ancient world.
