JM Chaves is a true child of the ’70s — a lifelong toy collector, statue enthusiast, art lover, movie junkie, and hardcore fan of sci-fi, fantasy, comics, and everything in between.
At a young age, he was exposed to the legendary works of Moebius, Druillet, Caza, Corben, Vallejo, Frazetta, Rockwell and others — and that early influence sparked a deep passion for art and for the artists who create it. Sci-fi and fantasy became more than just interests; they became a creative calling.
He started his career in the ’90s as an illustrator and comic book artist, working in Brazil and Europe. After earning his degree in Design, he transitioned into product design and ergonomics, contributing to major innovation projects for over two decades.
In 2020, during the global lockdown, JM returned to his artistic roots and transformed his long-time passion for traditional sculpture into a full-time profession.
Once a Scout, always a Scout. A dedicated gamer and passionate fan of pop culture, Igor began his journey in childhood — fascinated not just by playing games, but by understanding how they were made.
Although he started down a traditional path in mechanical engineering, everything changed when he joined a game programming course. That’s when he realized his true calling wasn’t in code, but in visuals. He discovered a deep passion for creating characters and telling stories through art, which led him to the world of 3D printing and digital sculpture.
Having created premium miniatures and collectibles for some of the world’s leading studios, Igor now dedicates his talent to bringing to life the characters and creatures that have always inspired him — with a level of detail only someone who truly loves what they do can achieve.
